Why did Moody’s need your help?

DEPT brought me on board as an in-house copy specialist for their client, Moody’s, who needed to refresh the copy, look, and feel of their website.

How did you reach client objectives?

My creative process involved:

  • Analyzing research decks to identify target segments, challenges in different departments, and unique selling points.

  • Turning complex financial concepts into clear, benefit-focused copy that resonates with target segments.

  • Collaborating with the brand strategist to create 20 landing page wireframes under tight deadlines, ensuring copy clarity and a consistent structure.

Did you run into any roadblocks? How did you overcome them?

The primary challenge was translating the complex financial concepts into clear copy that target segments would understand and resonate with.

We accomplished this by asking the client targeted questions. In doing so, we clarified concepts on behalf of the reader and prevented confusion.
